Job Description

Deliver specialised medical care to infants, children and adolescents. Oversee pediatric wards, NBU and child health programs.

Job Duties and Responsibilities

• Provide specialized clinical care to pediatric inpatients and outpatients.
• Manage neonates in NBU, NICU and pediatric emergencies.
• Conduct specialized clinics: Child development, Asthma, Pediatric HIV, etc.
• Lead childhood immunization, nutrition and preventive health initiatives.
• Provide expert consultation on all pediatric cases.
• Supervise and train pediatric nurses, medical officers and interns.

Job Requirements

• Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery MBChB or equivalent degree from an institution recognized by the Kenya Medical Practitioners and Dentists Council KMPDC.
• Master of Medicine (MMed) in Paediatrics and Child Health or equivalent post-graduate qualification recognized by KMPDC.
• Minimum 3 years post-qualification experience with active clinical practice in Paediatrics.
